The ceremony for conferring the degrees was hold in the roofless shell of the Great Hall of the University and the Commander-in-Chief, by invitation of the committee, addressed the meating. Extracts from the South China Morning Post accompany this latter.

Lieut. Col. Gordon King, upon whom, as Dean of the Medical Faculty, fell the burden of cellecting and marshalling the requisite evidence and of making of the arrangements for the ceremony, rendered outstanding services to the Committee.
